History of Karate

HISTORY OF KARATE

Karate originated in Okinawa, Japan, as a martial art developed from indigenous fighting methods and Chinese influence. Meaning "empty hand," it evolved from te, a term for hand techniques, and became a disciplined combat system. From its roots in self-defense to becoming a global sport, karate represents the perfect blend of physical and mental training.
